在正式進入面試環節之前，同學們一定要注意留給考官的第一印象，它是由語言，神態，一舉一動都息息相關。有些人怕言多語失，惜字如金。有些則幻想著出其不意，劍走偏鋒。在與考官的交流中總想著占據主動。
其實，過度的躲閃和直接都是不自信的表現。干凈得體的著裝，自然的語氣神態，發自內心的尊重和專注才是王道。除了考試前的調整，平時的練習也很重要，考生可在面試前一個月內，錄下自己和其他人的交談內容。從聽眾的視角審視一下自己說話的語速，態度，和感受。這樣才會在走向真正考場的時候游刃有余。不然，語速過快，語無倫次，答非所問甚至面部表情和情緒失控等種種…反正你能想到的樣子都能有！
考生在進場后對考官發出的問候，還是要把握簡短扼要的原則：

有的考生會在過分緊張的情況之下，對著剛剛午休結束的考官們來一句”good morning”。所以平時的練習和健康的心態多么重要！
在簡單的寒暄之后，同學們切忌要仔細收聽考官的話語，不要直接進行自我介紹，因為上一篇文章說過，有的學校是沒有自我介紹的！仔細聆聽考官指令，待考官確認需要考生進行自我介紹后，大方從容的開口也不遲。
自我介紹
如果讓考生做自我介紹的話，考官一般會問：
Could you introduce yourself briefly?
Could you give me a brief introduction about yourself?
自我介紹無非包含的就是以下幾點：
1.姓名，來自何方，年齡
2.哪所高校，什么專業
3.學習的經歷，參加過的項目，獲得的榮譽以及獎項
4.興趣愛好和特長
5.個人的性格
6.有些考生也可以加入自己的實習甚至工作經歷
能包含多少，看時間，考官感受和個人英語使用能力而定。切記不需要面面俱到，若不能口吐蓮花，做到務實有效即可。
但不論考生怎么取舍，姓名，年齡，來自哪里以及學校和專業是必須要提的。若考官要求的自我介紹時間不得少于一分鐘，再酌情挑選以上列出的其他要點即可。
對于一個時間在90秒左右的自我介紹來說，一篇自我介紹的文本應在200個詞匯左右而不高于240個英文單詞。之所以精確詞匯量，是為了讓考生用合適的語速來完成自我介紹環節。
自我介紹模板
Good morning/afternoon, respected professors! It is really a great honor to have this opportunity for an interview and I hope I will give you a deep impression. My name is XXX(姓名),22(年齡) and my hometown is (省份或城市). I am graduating from XXX(系或) in (學校名稱) this June, and major in XXX(專業名稱).
I took many courses on XXX(課程名) as well as(課程名稱) during my four years’ college life. Besides, as artificial intelligence(專業領域名稱) is a field that is developing fast, I also self-studied two kinds of courses of compiling and operating system(課程名稱).
Moreover, I have passed College English Test Band4/6 and got some certificates in vocational grade. I’m confident so say that I’m an honest, responsible and strong-minded person. The more important thing is that I’m industrious, since I always believe that one will readily lag behind unless he keeps on learning.
I look forward to studying in my dream university and must cherish the opportunity of receiving an instruction from admirable professors.
